Detectives Searching for Suspect in Weekend Burglary in Gray

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for a burglary which occurred early Saturday morning in Gray.

At around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, deputies responded to a burglary alarm at the Dollar General store located at 3410 Bayou Blue Road. Upon arrival, deputies observed forced entry had been made through the front door of the business. Deputies had reason to believe the suspect was possibly still on scene, and they set up perimeter around the business. The Lafourche Parish Interagency Crisis Management Unit responded to the scene. The unit made entry into the front of the store attempting to locate the subject, but the suspect was no longer inside.

Detectives are continuing the investigation into this crime.
