Detectives Investigating Overnight Shooting Incident in Raceland

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced detectives are investigating an overnight shooting incident in Raceland which resulted in property damage.

At around 12:40 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call of multiple gunshots in the area of Market Street in Raceland. Through investigation, detectives learned a residence and a vehicle were struck by gunfire in the 500 block.

As the investigation continues, anyone with information on this crime is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips app on your mobile device. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
