Detectives Seeking Information on Drive-By Shooting in Raceland

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for a drive-by shooting which occurred in Raceland on Friday night.

At around 10:40 p.m. on February 8, 2019, deputies responded to a call of a shooting in the 500 block of Greenville Street in Raceland. A man, woman, and their two children had just returned home and were inside their residence when they heard several gunshots. Deputies discovered several bullet holes in the residence, as well as the vehicle outside the residence.

The investigation into this shooting is continuing. Anyone with any information on this case is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips app on your mobile device. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.

Investigators do not believe there is any connection between this shooting and Sunday’s shooting in Lockport which resulted in the death of 19-year-old Alton Adams.
