Detectives Seek to Identify Package Thief in Raceland

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who stole mail packages from two Raceland residences last week.

On December 10, 2019, deputies responded to two instances of theft at residences on Aspen Drive in Raceland. In each case, a package containing Christmas gifts had been delivered to a home and left near a door. An unidentified man was captured on camera taking the package at one of the residences at around 4:15 p.m. on December 10. The man was traveling in a dark-colored GMC Envoy. It is unknown whether he was the driver or a passenger in the vehicle.

Deputies are now seeking the public’s help in this case. Anyone who may recognize the suspect or anyone with any knowledge of this crime is asked to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Tips can also be submitted using the P3 Tips app on your mobile device. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
