Detectives Investigating Overnight Armed Robbery at Casino

At around 3:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to Big Wheels Travel Center and Casino on LA Highway 316 in Gray in reference to an armed robbery which had just occurred. Upon arrival, deputies learned an unidentified male subject wearing all black clothing and a black ski mask entered the casino and immediately disarmed the security guard. He then proceeded to force the guard and a casino worker to an office area and demanded money from the office. After obtaining the money, the suspect fled the scene after stealing several thousand dollars, as well as the security guard’s firearm.
