Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person wanted for a vehicle burglary which occurred in the 200 block of Lake Howard Avenue in Thibodaux on New Year’s Eve. Investigators learned that a resident was awoken by his vehicle alarm at around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 31. A surveillance camera captured video of an unidentified male walking up to the vehicle and opening a door which initiated the alarm. The man entered the vehicle for a few seconds then quickly fled the scene. Anyone who can identify the suspect, or anyone who may have information on this crime is asked to contact Crime Stoppers Bayou Region at 1-800-743-7433 or by texting “GIVEATIP” plus your message to 274637.
