The LPSO Shooting Range Facility, located at 3451 Highway 182 in Raceland, is open to the general public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (must log in by 4pm), Thursday through Sunday, at a cost of $10 per person per day for unlimited use. Range open to MEMBERS ONLY on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (membership available for purchase at the range).

More than 11,000 people utilize the range each year. Personnel from more than 30 agencies utilize the LPSO Range including local, state, and federal military agencies, as well as private security companies.

The facility allows gun owners and enthusiasts to hone their skills in a safe, controlled environment and includes the following ranges:

  • 25-person pistol range
  • 100-yard & 200-yard rifle ranges

Children ages 10 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (over 21). Targets and backing are available. Ammunition is sold to Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office employees ONLY. The facility is also used for public education courses and academy training.
