Deputies Searching for Man Involved in Disturbance at Raceland Hospital

Sheriff Craig Webre reported deputies are currently searching for a man who was involved in a disturbance at a Raceland hospital earlier Monday afternoon. At around 1 p.m. on Monday, June 6, deputies responded to a disturbance at Ochsner St. Anne Hospital in Raceland. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the suspect, Daniel Boudreaux (age 29) of Lockport. When asked if he had any weapons on his person, Boudreaux told deputies he had a knife in his pocket. Boudreaux and a deputy both reached for the knife, and the deputy disarmed Boudreaux. Boudreaux then immediately fled the scene on foot, eventually jumping into Bayou Lafourche. Deputies are currently searching the bayou, as well as nearby fields, for Boudreaux. Anyone with any knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to contact the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 532-2255.
