Five Arrested in Narcotics Operation in Lockport

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced five people were arrested Wednesday as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Narcotics agents had been investigating Mitchell Folse, 46, of Lockport and his reported involvement with illegal narcotics. During the investigation, agents were able to secure an arrest warrant for Folse for the charge of operation of a dwelling for narcotics use. Agents also obtained a search warrant for his residence on Mar Drive.

On September 17, 2025, agents conducted a search at the residence. During the search, agents discovered methamphetamine, Schedule II pills, drug paraphernalia, stolen property, and four firearms. Folse was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux on the aforementioned warrant. He was also charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of stolen property. Bail is set at $121,000.

Additionally, four others were arrested as part of the operation:

  • Storm Ford, 26, of Cut Off (possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction of justice);
  • Kia Thompson, 30, of Lockport (possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia);
  • Clyde Poindexter Jr., 46, of Lockport (obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of contempt of court); and
  • Emily Rodriguez, 37, of Lockport (obstruction of justice, possession of drug paraphernalia).
