Project C.O.P.E. (Comprehensive Overdose Prevention Efforts) is a voluntary, harm-reduction deflection program serving all of Lafourche Parish that offers those experiencing substance use, abuse, overdoses, and mental health challenges local resources and recovery support with individualized care.

All services offered by Project C.O.P.E. are FREE, voluntary, and offered in a non-enforcement manner and designed to protect the confidentiality of those we serve as we assist with their journey to recovery!

Field Response staff specializing in substance use and mental health challenges will work one-on-one with clients and their loved ones to educate about the dangers of substance use and promote treatment options as well as mental health services in partnership with local agencies and treatment facilities.

In addition to providing individualized education on the correct administration and use of Narcan to clients and their loved ones, we can also facilitate appointment scheduling and treatment arrangements. In certain instances, transportation is provided on behalf of the clients we work with.

If you or a loved one is struggling with drug addiction, substance use, and/or mental health challenges, we can help!

For more information or to schedule a meeting, please reach out to the Project C.O.P.E. team today at 985-837-8122.
