Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced detectives are investigating the theft of a boat and trailer that occurred in Bayou Blue recently.

On Friday evening, January 2, 2026, deputies responded to a complaint of a stolen boat in Bayou Blue. The boat was parked along the highway in the 2400 block of Bayou Blue Road (LA Highway 316). It was last seen at the location around 10 a.m. on January 2, but was not there that evening.

The boat was a black 2021 Skeeter FXR21 with a Yamaha 250 outboard with hull number LA5412GV. The boat was on a trailer with the following Louisiana license plate number: J900183. The boat and trailer were both stolen.

Detectives are seeking information on the possible location of the boat or information on possible suspects. Anyone with any information on any of this incident can submit a tip anonymously to Bayou Region Crime Stoppers by phone at 1-800-743-7433, online at CrimeStoppersBR.org, or via the Bayou Tips app on mobile devices. Tips submitted through Crime Stoppers could lead to a reward of up to $1,000.00 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
